Two of our teams were selected to go to London to represent Banbury Aspirations Campus Sixth Form in this Aspirations Trust wide competition. We were fortunate to be awarded first place with our ‘Where’s Korey’ team and were given special mention as second place winners with our ‘Grounded’ team.
The staff and students had a great day out in London both presenting the pitch for each game before the panel of judges and the opportunity to talk to some important contacts and leading figures in the board game industry. The representative of the board game ‘Articulate’ was very impressed with both the amount of in-depth research the students had undertaken, the quality of production and the viability of the games for a commercial outlet. He has even advised that our students should consider trying to market their games commercially.
We are very proud of both of the teams for their success and the professional way they conducted themselves at this event. We would like to thank them all, both the winners and all of our Year 12 students for the hard work, dedication and effort that went into this project.
We look forward to even further success with our new NL12 project based on Structures and Buildings.
Well done all from the NL12 course leaders.
