Well done to all our students and staff who took part in this whole school charity event organised by our Sports Council in aid of Katharine House Hospice – we raised a fantastic £297.27!

The run took place on the last day of term around the school playing fields. The target for students to achieve was a gold, silver or bronze medal:

  1. Gold medal = 10 laps;
  2. Silver medal = 6 laps;
  3. Bronze medal = 4 laps.

As an additional challenge, a 10k was an option for students (or staff!) who felt up to the challenge.

Each runner was asked to donate £1 to Katharine House Hospice and, in return, received a Santa hat which they could take home after the event.

A special ‘thank you’ to Tom Bowen, Emma Hancocks, Lizzie Keys, Dom Gilbert and Ollie Cadle for organising such a fantastic festive end to the term and to all who took part for your engagement, enthusiasm and all-round support. It was fantastic to see everyone mucking in and having a go!
