What are we studying?
Year 10
Engineering Level 1 and 2
This two year course is concerned with the students having a full overview of their commitment to the course and helping them realise its make-up of practical units and external examinations. They are made aware of the contents of the theory and the various disciplines of their practical project. The set task is explained in detail and the planning begins of how to deliver a body of work that will give them the best chance to reach their true potential.
Year 11
Engineering Level 1 and 2
Students will consolidate their completion of the unit portfolio which constitutes the coursework element of the Level 1 and 2 Course. The unit portfolio will contain a range of work completed throughout Year 10 combined with work completed in the first term of Year 11. The work will fulfil the four assessment objectives of: Material Science, Planning a Project, Quality Control and Computer Controlled Machinery, recording from first hand as well as developing personal final pieces.
