On Saturday 26th April, eleven students from Wykham Park Academy and Futures Institute Banbury proudly represented their schools as they took on the challenge of the TCS London Mini Marathon!
Running the final 2.6km of the world-famous course – the same one used by elite athletes the following day – students raced through the iconic streets of London, passing landmarks such as St. James’s Park and Buckingham Palace before finishing in spectacular style on The Mall.
The day wasn’t just about running – students also soaked up the sights of the capital, taking in Big Ben, the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament and a walk across Westminster Bridge. It was a day full of excitement, energy and unforgettable memories.
Every student completed the course and wore their medals with pride. Their behaviour, enthusiasm and team spirit were exceptional from start to finish – a brilliant representation of everything Aspirations stands for.
